We partner with ecom and personal brands on Shopify that are looking to increase their growth PROFITABLY through paid advertising, content creation, and funnel optimization. Flax has helped over 50 brands generate $100M+ in revenue; of which, $48M of that is profit. Flax is developing a process that produces automated growth for any brand, no matter shape or size, and we need passionate e-commerce marketing minds to help us develop our process and service to create the ultimate DTC growth machine.
In this role you will be working with the YouTube team. This division is responsible for creating content on YouTube to increase the channel growth and revenue by treating YouTube as a marketing channel for the brands ecommerce store.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a long-form video editor and thumbnail designer, youll be playing a key role in helping our clients grow their YouTube presence by delivering high-quality video edits and designing attention-grabbing thumbnails. Youll be responsible for editing engaging long-form content that aligns with our clients brand and goals, while constantly seeking ways to improve video and funnel performance.
Core Responsibilities Include:
Edit high-quality, long-form videos (A-Z) for YouTube channels, ensuring content is engaging and aligned with the clients brand and conversion objectives
Design compelling, high-converting YouTube thumbnails to improve CTR, using data-driven insights to optimise designs
Regularly A/B test thumbnails and make improvements based on results to maximise engagement
Analyse YouTube performance metrics (CTR, AVD, etc..) to adjust video edits and thumbnails
Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to understand project goals and execute creative solutions that meet or exceed expectations
Stay updated with YouTube trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and optimised for growth.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality
Coordinate and lead strategy on video ideas and how they are best represented through a thumbnail
Coordinate and communicate with strategist, script-writers, other team members, and clients to ensure you have the all the assets needed to complete the project on time
Update project management software(s) (Monday.com) in real time as you progress on projects
Ensure all edited content is free from copyright content/risk-free of a YouTube copyright strike
Ensure all edited content aligns with best practices for YouTube video performance (improved AVD and viewership dropoff %)
Mandator Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience video editing on YouTube Minimum 1 year of experience creating YouTube thumbnails Proficiency using Adobe suite, specifically: Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects or equivalent video editing software Fluent in written and spoken English Understanding of YouTube best practices for channel growth History of editing videos that have generated over 100,000 views within the past 2 years History of creating thumbnails with a CTR above 5% Understands the essentials of colour theory, composition, etc.. Understanding of how YouTube can be used as a funnel/marketing tool for businesses Proficient with the use of G Suite tools (minimum 2 years experience)
