Utah-based, Remote, Exp. Medical Insurance Claims Representative (Similar to Examiner, Adjuster)

I am recruiting for a Utah, Remote, Business Medical Claims Representative for an 80-person, A-rated insurance company & think you may be a great fit.

You must be located in Utah or willing to relocate immediately or you will be rejected.

Overview:
• Start-to-finish, Manage & Investigate minimal to high-exposure medical claims
• Work with a supervisor to close cases

Required:
• Min. 1-3 yrs of complex Medical Malpractice, Casualty, or Bodily Injury claims experience
• Detail-oriented, Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication & judgment
• Self-starter, can work remotely
• Valid driver's license, ability to travel 25%
• Field experience (preferred)
• Education Minimum: Completion of High-school or GED equivalent

Initial Claim Handling:
• Take 1st notices, review instructions
• Assess coverage
• Select defense counsel
• Make service provider & reserve recommendations
• Prepare communication to insured & counsel
• Report claims to regulatory bodies as needed

Manage Claim:
• Organize & review medical records
• Interview insured & claimants, summarize
• Select consultants, attend depositions
• Monitor reserves, prepare management reports
• Evaluate settlement value, prepare for settlement
• Enter data, review, pay bills

Claim Resolution:
• Discuss settlement, obtain consent
• Log trial dates, prepare Request for Authority
• Prepare strategy, attend mediations, monitor trial
• Close file after final payments, document
