About the position

The Assistant Manager position at Peoples Bank plays a crucial role in supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
• Assist with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch.

• Lead by example to achieve sales results and coach staff in the PEBO way.

• Maintain confidentiality of client business.

• Ensure branch associates are effective and engaged in operations and sales.

• Assist in finding and developing high-quality staff.

• Establish and grow working relationships with partners.

• Maintain world-class service levels.

• Proactively meet clients' financial needs through the sales process.

• Follow operational standards regarding security, risk management, and compliance.

• Conduct structured coaching sessions for individual and branch success.

• Attract new relationships and retain existing ones.

• Respond to customer concerns with follow-up and resolution.

• Develop and retain the customer base, using names and knowledge of account ownership.

• Acquire and maintain knowledge of consumer and business lending products.
,
• Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs and refer them to business partners.

• Complete required training for bank and branch policies and procedures.

• Interpret documents such as safety rules and loan documents.
,
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
,
• Define and offer solutions to resolve problems.
,
• Make calls to clients and prospects to meet branch calling goals.

• Interpret data to evaluate lending ratios and product opportunities.

• Consistently meet sales goals.

• Perform special projects as assigned.

Requirements
• High school diploma or GED; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong leadership skills and great organizational skills.
,
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
,
• Ability to motivate and develop the branch team.
,
• Experience with extensive customer contact is required.
,
• Ability to convey bank strategy and technique via the Peoples Coaching Model.

• Flexibility and teamwork with excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with partners.

• Decision-making skills with well-developed interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated and assertive in a sales environment.
