Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Summary/Purpose

Neurolens is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to support and mature the Digital Innovation organization as the company embarks on an ambitious roadmap to expand our footprint in the optical market and ultimately transform lives.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst role will help create and champion a culture of quality throughout the Digital Innovation organization and the business functions we support. The scope of this role includes all systems, tools, and assets the organization develops. The QA Analyst will do so by establishing, documenting, and executing effective and efficient test strategies and protocols across all forms of software testing (unit, integration, user acceptance, regression, and smoke).

As the Quality Assurance Analyst, this organizational brand will be reflective of the brand built by this role and function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Analyze and review specifications of the software to ensure test coverage and alignment with business requirements
• Develop and execute tests alongside developers for software on all device generations as well as non-device-specific software (Portal, Lens Studio, etc.)
• Participate in business requirement (aka user story) development to gain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of assets and solutions; leverage this knowledge to develop detailed and comprehensive test plans
• Write, update, and maintain the Project Requests, Test Protocols, Product Specifications, Test Reports for each project or sprint
• Execute the test protocols as per quality procedure
• Validate AI-generated responses for accuracy, consistency, and realism in consumer-facing SaaS platform
• Document and track issues in DevOps and work with software engineers to find ways to resolve
• Continuously test software from time to time to ensure it complies

Education, Experience, And Training:
• Associate degree (Bachelors preferred) in relevant field or 2+years’ experience documenting process and business requirements (as a Business Analyst or similar role)
• 2+ years ‘experience in the software development arena with specific focus and prior responsibilities in test strategy, documentation and execution
• Highest-level attention to detail
• Curious, creative problem solver with established experience leveraging new tools and technology to continuously increase your capabilities and work efficiency
• Passionate and prideful in work deliverables
• Enjoys working as part of a team in a collaborative environment
• Excellent English writing and proofreading skills
• Excellent, clear, clean, accessible writing; an obsessive eye for consistency and technical accuracy.
• Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skills
• Ability to read programming code a plus
• Excellent work ethic and strong intellectual curiosity
• Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and multi-task
• Desire and ability to innovate and improve upon current processes
• Experience in creating infographics to communicate processes and abstract topics more clearly
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs and technologies.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs and related tools and technology is a must, especially in the realm of testing (including and especially AI test automation tools such as PromptFoo
• Familiarity and experience with test automation software (such as BugBug and Selenium) is a plus.
• Domain knowledge in the optical and/or medical field is a plus
• Familiarity with FDA Regulations for a Class 1 Medical Device (21 CFR 820) is a plus
• Familiarity with the Microsoft stack of solutions and products (e.g. Azure Dev Ops, Entra, Sharepoint, Power BI, Postman etc.) is a plus
• Familiarity with SQL Server, writing SQL queries and general data architecture is a plus
• Familiarity and experience with the following tools would be advantageous: Hubspot, Skyvia, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, Figma (or similar), Miro (or similar)
