Sr. Manager, Facilities
Posted 2025-05-18We are seeking a motivated and energetic Facilities Senior Manager to lead the Facilities team for GFTX in Austin, TX. This individual plays a critical role developing and overseeing the team that manages the factory's utilities - process, mechanical, fire suppression, controls, electrical systems and building utility areas - cranes, elevators, overhead doors, building components, and roofing system. Responsibilities include leading and supporting maintenance, reliability, operations, process, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire systems, and engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable, efficient, and quality operation of systems, establishing the team culture, driving operational excellence, and developing KPI and productivity measures. In addition, a strong facilities technical background and a servant leadership mindset is critical to enable decision making when working with cross-functional teams such as construction, engineering, operations, maintenance, and production.
Responsibilities
Responsible for personnel safety, ensuring safe work practices are followed, best practices are shared and implemented among the facilities teams. Actively support EHS programs and policies
Build and continuously develop a strong, motivated team. Lead, coach and mentor team leaders. Drive ownership and ethic across the site
Ensure factory is operating to meet air and water permits limits and requirements. Implement measures to maximize facilities system reliability, uptime and maintenance of systems. Develop and successfully implement operational procedures, alarm management, capacity and demand management, maintenance planning and execution
You will serve as the main point of contact for site leadership. Monitor and report on facilities KPIs and serve as a site wide resource for facilities operations
Interface with cross-functional teams such as Production, Factory Engineering, Construction and Commissioning teams to synchronize activities and ensure organized execution and delivery of new infrastructure. Manage capital funding and operational expense budget for facilities team, consistently seeking out optimization and efficiency
Ensure clear process for performance and talent management
Requirements
10+ years direct experience as Facilities Manager for large format manufacturing operations
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience in start-up/commissioning brown and greenfield operations as well as data center operations after construction is a plus
Facilities process such as process cooling & heating, HVAC, ultrapure water, wastewater, and utility systems such as high voltage electrical, chilled water and hot water experience in continuous operations preferred
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and perform under high pressure with the ability to drive projects to completion
