Data Analysis
Collect, organize, and interpret large sets of data from various internal sources
Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support data-driven decisions across departments
Summarize and communicate analysis results to management and non-technical stakeholders
Develop, implement, and maintain databases, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Prepare reports, visualizations, and dashboards to present data insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way (e.g. Power BI dashboards, product reliability reports, etc.)
Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and provide data-driven recommendations
Monitor data accuracy and integrity, ensuring quality and consistency
Create and maintain documentation on processes, methodologies, and data sources
Work with project teams comprising different departments (such as Sales, IT, Engineering, Product Management) to make system changes as required to optimize processes and outputs
Provide full stack support by interacting with the entire data pipeline, including data collection, storage, and building data ingestion systems where applicable.
Write SQL queries to access and manipulate data in relational databases.
Develop scripts (Python, R, etc.) to automate data processing tasks.
Extract data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) using appropriate tools and techniques.
Cleanse and transform raw data to ensure quality and consistency.
Develop data pipelines to automate data ingestion and processing.
Design Engineering
Develop and optimize product designs that meet technical, functional, and business requirements
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines
Maintain clear and organized documentation, including BOMs, design revisions, and test reports
Effectively use internal modeling and design tools to produce analysis results that accurately inform real-world design decisions
Test prototypes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs
Costing Engineering
Develop, analyze and maintain detailed cost estimates for products, projects, or production processes
Technical, price, and delivery requirement trade-offs are discussed and presented
Standard product options are recommended for prototype and production solutions
Requirements for custom design, value added assembly, additional testing/design verification or process changes are identified and pursued
Advise and develop automation tools to improve costing procedure and enhance accuracy
Professional Growth and Training
Knowledge and expertise within Data Analytics is kept current with state-of-the-art practices. This is achieved via regular review of technology publications, as well as active participation in conferences and/or workshops.
Continually expand technical, analytical, and soft skills to:

Gain domain expertise
Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field 2+ years proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role Demonstrated Experience and Skills Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, VB/VBA, MATLAB) Experience in engineering, manufacturing Knowledge of machine learning and predictive modeling is a plus Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes

Working Conditions
Work environment will range from office to plant floor
Must be comfortable working around chemicals and machinery
Must be willing to receive calls or work on nights or weekends
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others to exchange information
Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
Must be able to wear PPE as needed (safety glasses, finger cots, gloves, etc.)
