Job Description:
Job Summary
Responsible for leading the strategy, development and implementation of Employee Engagement deliverables and programs for Crew Scheduling. Works with Manager Employee Engagement & Communication to partner with Crew Scheduling Vice President and Directors to develop and implement solutions that will improve the Employee Engagement experience in Crew Scheduling. Advises on the Employee insights perspective with project Teams and/or Leaders throughout the department, helping them incorporate leading practices across their Teams and/or projects. Advocates on behalf of Crew Scheduling Employees, and works collaboratively with Teams throughout the business to execute on the focus areas within Crew Scheduling and across the Company.

Responsibilities
Employ advanced critical/strategic thinking skills to identify issues, question assumptions, develop comprehensive solutions/recommendations, and escalate for resolution if needed
Responsible for staying apprised of and helping educate on new innovations/tools at Southwest that could improve Crew Scheduling engagement and sentiment
Design and implement department engagement strategy by utilizing survey data and engagement gathering tools
Develop complex, detailed, and summarized project plans and execute tasks defined in project plan to achieve project goals using project management methodologies and practices
Develop, present, and facilitate discussions with Senior Leadership and Employees about Employee Engagement pain points, drivers, and solutions
Glean insights and synthesize findings from multiple data sources (quantitative and qualitative) and build compelling material to bring Voice of Crew Scheduling Employee data/insights or specific improvement opportunities to qualify of life, driving Employee-centric decision making and improvements
Lead development of visual presentations, Employee journeys, storyboards, surveys, insights materials, and other materials
Lead strategy and focus group sessions with Crew Scheduling Employees and department Senior Leaders to gather information to further the development of the Employee journey within Crew Scheduling
Lead, facilitate, and educate on development sessions with department Senior Leadership and external Teams on the enterprise development program (CliftonStrengths)
Research topics to understand internal and external best practices, stay informed of leading Employee Engagement practices, and apply new strategies and trends to current and future work
May perform other job duties as directed by Employees Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Expert knowledge in Employee Engagement and Insights related practices, tactics, and principles (i.e., design thinking, workshop/focus group design, survey design, prototype/model design)
Expert knowledge of written and verbal communication, as well as presentation delivery skills
Expert in applying both strategy and project management principles (i.e., vision, risk management, project planning, work breakdown structure, implementation planning, communications, and change management)
Expert in developing strong, visually appealing presentations (using Microsoft PowerPoint) that use story-telling principles and deliver with impact to Employees of all levels
Advanced at employing critical/strategic thinking skills to identify issues, question assumptions, develop comprehensive solutions/recommendations and escalate for resolution if needed
Advanced problem solving, understanding of near-term and down-stream impacts, evaluating options, and developing and executing successful plans to mitigate risk
Advanced at turning insight into action to build department sentiment and engagement strategy with department and companywide survey data
Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing, and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information
Ability to apply knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; and learning and motivation
Ability to demonstrate intellectual curiosity and challenge assumptions in a constructive way; pursues innovative and creatives solutions
Ability to handle complex, confidential, and sensitive situations appropriately and maintain objectivity
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Expert level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in:
Strategic communications including: planning, writing and deploying communications
Analyzing and interpreting data to support business decisions
Working with front line airline employees to understand job sentiment and engagement
Developing strategies to engage a mobile workforce
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Pay & Benefits
Competitive market salary from $116,350 - $129,300 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
