What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
• Handle incoming communication and online requests from patients and referring providers for appointment scheduling
• Document patient demographic, medical, financial, and referral information accurately in compliance with established procedures
• Answer telephone calls, providing professional and courteous customer service while triaging calls and taking detailed messages
• Ensure all necessary patient information is obtained prior to appointments and that medical records are accessible to healthcare providers
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines in all communications and documentation

What is Required (Qualifications):
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• 0-1 year of customer service experience in a contact/call center environment
• 0-1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle a high volume of calls
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
• Familiarity with Epic software
• Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Knowledge of insurance stipulations affecting appointment scheduling
• Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills
• Ability to exercise judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information
