Job Overview

    The Director of Sales is responsible for managing strategic partnerships with Target & Ulta, focusing on growth and expansion. The role involves developing and executing retail and wholesale business plans, analyzing POS, P&L, and forecasting to identify sales and margin opportunities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to drive sales growth and maintain strong retailer relationships.Key Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain relationships with Target and Ulta, understanding their goals and challenges.
  • Collaborate with retailers to achieve sales and revenue targets, driving sell-out.
  • Develop account-specific sales plans aligned with financial targets.
  • Monitor sales, inventory, and retailer activities to maximize opportunities.
  • Establish and manage joint business plans and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Manage P&L elements, trade funds, and sales reporting.
  • Analyze business performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead retailer engagement strategies and meetings.
  • Negotiate space, terms, and promotional offers with retailers.
  • Manage sales budgets and collaborate with marketing for trade plans.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expansion strategies.
  • Qualifications
  • 7+ years of wholesale sales experience in the beauty industry with Target & Ulta.
  • Experience in national account management within beauty brands.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and retailer strategy knowledge.
  • Proven success in sales growth, space negotiations, and trade marketing.
  • Business development experience in the cosmetics/beauty sector is a plus.
  • Skills & Knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Relevant degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or Communications; MA preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally.
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic mindset.
  • Willingness to travel for account management.
